Page 1 of 6 The "Eyes are the windows to the Soul", is an often heard expression. If there is any truth to that, and we believe there definitly is, our many still pictures and live video and filmshots, are certainly the windows that reveal the very "Evil Soul" of Texaco Caribbean Inc. and ChevronTexaco Co. The signs and proof, revealing the extreme environmental contamination your seeing in the sofar posted pictures (there will be more), is the real situation in our residential neighborhood as it became exposed in 2002, 2003, and 2004 All during this time Texaco Caribbean Inc. and ChevronTexaco Co.'s board and management members kept formally saying about the situation you are looking at, and we qoute: "There is nothing wrong, There is no contamination, It is not that bad, The residents are looking for a cheap way to get some money from us, We have been at all times a responsible company maintaining always the highest standards when it comes to Health and the Environment..!!", The people alleging any contamination are crazy, Our Experts have tested the site and found no contamination, they know best", end of qoute. Now please duly note that all the statements made by the different ChevronTexaco company personnel in an effort to minimize the gross reality of their exposed "total irresponsibility, extreme negligence, utter neglect, even...criminal conspiratorial intent (documents will proof this)", in SURINAME, in SINT MAARTEN, and in NICARAGUA, prove without a doubt that the cases in these three countries are almost identical in the way they happened and all three are very similar in Texaco's reactions to them once they became public knowledge. TELL A LIE and DENY. What you are seeing is the Environmental destruction that was allowed to develop over time, and once it was known it was covered-up, literally, as quick as one could manage. The toxic state of the groundwater with all sorts of contaminants floating on the surface is a perfect example of the high level of contamination present in the general groundwater mass around. The same indication and proof as to the level of toxic contamination of the soil and groundwater mass, becomes abundantly clear from the pure reddish/brown fuel bubbling to the surface of the freshly dug pit, and then slowly mixing-in with groundwater making it to the surface somewhat later. Duly note the discoloration of the contaminated soil/sand by fuels/benzine to greyish/green in contrast to the natural basic brown it is in the area. The USEPA informs us about our inquiry into the acceptable levels of oil/benzene contamination for a residential area in the U.S., that under their regulations; THERE ARE NO LIMITS SET which are DEEMED ACCEPTABLE. SPILLS/LEAKS OF OIL/BENZENE, no matter how small, WILL HAVE TO BE REPORTED AND IMMEDIATELY ACTED UPON if they caused a SHEEN, FILM, DISCOLORATION etc. of the SOIL, or upon the SURFACE of the WATER/GROUNDWATER or if it VIOLATES an applicable WATER QUALITY standard. Look at what you are seeing. Texaco knew about it long before we found out, and now judge for yourself how they reacted and what they did (?) with the information, that was actually crucial to our "Health and the Environment wherein we Lived"..!! The completely "futile and ridiculous" attempt of the so called "Vent uncontrolled to the open air above" the extremely "Toxic Soil Vapors" by way of this huge "ventilation pipe" placed 5 meters down into the extremely contaminated soil around, is another good example of ChevronTexaco's idea of quickly trying to handle in countries like ours the "contamination messes" they allowed for years to fester. Indicative of the intensity of the "Toxic Soil Vapors" allowed to escape and enter freely into the open air are the "protective headgear and breathing airmasks" you see on the workers next to the open pit. A graphic drawing by a consulted knowledgeable environmental expert who investigated and assessed the situation around on our request, shows the "Free Product Phase Plume" and the "Dissolved Phase Plume" in the ground, migrating from the Texaco station south/southeasterly all the way (450 meters) to the properties of two of the country's major hospitals and thereby largely impacting these to an unacceptable "contaminated" level.
